History
High Hopes was established in 1984 by five Middle Tennessee families who had big dreams for their children. Each of these families had a child with some type of special need that was not able to be met in local preschools because of a lack of knowledge, capability, or training. Additionally, they found themselves driving to several locations, weekly, for their children to receive all of the beneficial therapies needed. Because of this, they were determined to create a worthy place for these children to go, where their needs could be met, academically and therapeutically, but also, their children would be educated amongst typically-developing peers.
With this vision, High Hopes started as a homegrown gathering and quickly needed to expand to a proper facility. Throughout the years, the organization moved to different locations, finally settling in Brentwood, TN in 2002. In 2007, due to growing demand for quality therapy services, the High Hopes Pediatric Clinic expanded to a 6,200 square foot facility. Over 25 years after the original dream of High Hopes, children and youth are served in 8 preschool classrooms and offered a wide variety of therapeutic services including: physical, occupational, speech, feeding, and listening therapies.
High Hopes is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
