October 24th, 2009 - Keith Anderson & Tim Nichols

Each table radiated with the light of a charming hot air balloon.  The centerpieces, fashioned from paper lanterns and miniature baskets of candy, were a tribute to the original logo of High Hopes, used 25 years ago.  Not only did the décor pay homage to the two and a half decades High Hopes has been serving the community, but the entire evening was a celebration, 25 years in the making.  One highlight of the evening was a visit from High Hopes alumni, Clay Sircy.  As a child, Clay attended High Hopes and he graciously spoke at Hats Off about his current accomplishments as a young adult, including: sharing his medals from the Special Olympics and talking about his job and latest accomplishments.

November 1st, 2008 - Kim Carnes & Tim Nichols

More than 300 people enjoyed a buffet dinner and host bar, a live and silent auction, and an evening of unforgettable performances by Nashville’s award winning songwriters: Tim Nichols, Kim Carnes, Connie Harrington, Barry Dean, Danny Orton, and Patty Clark.  “My Lonely Brother” was performed, which was written by Bailey Patton to honor his twin bother Barrett who has Cerebral Palsy.  They are former High Hopes students and received a standing ovation at Hats Off after the performance.  The tables had a wide variety of hats as their centerpieces, all of which were Silent Auction items either stand alone or as part of a package.  These included everything from a tiara to a bicycle helmet to the most highly-sought-after item, the Titans’ Helmet autographed by this season’s team.
